MUMBAI: The Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) have busted a unique modus operandi of the two Nigerians and Mozambian national who were trying to smuggle huge quantity of Ketamine through courier. Trio have been booked under NDPS act and police are trying to find the quantity and source of the ketamine.
Acting on the specific information the NCB raided a courier service in South Mumbai and arrested three persons who had come to deliver the contraband secretly soaked in two towels. We had specific information that these set of people will be coming to send the parcel containing few towels to Australia through courier. After keeping a vigil we detained them when they handed over the parcel.'' Said an official. Initially sleuths after thoroughly checking failed to trace the powder until they got some smell from the towels.

During the probe it was transpired that the accused had cleverly made the ketamine solution by adding some liquid and they soaked the towels inside the solution and dried them carefully. After drying the towels look normal and nobody could make out ketamine was very cleverly concealed in it. We have send the samples to the Lab to extract the ketamine from the towel.'' Added a NCB official.
